VOICES
Voices is one of the stories from Kadak Anthology “BYSTANDER’, a comic about how we become bystanders within local neighborhoods and communities by failing to intervene in situations of domestic violence and alcoholism. Kadak is a collective of South Asian woman who work with graphic storytelling of diverse kinds.

We were provided with a limited color palette, from which I selected three different tones for various pages to reflect the storyline's mood:
1. The first page illustrates the mood of present city life.
2. Colorful hues evoke memories of my childhood.
3. A dark blue tone symbolizes the nightfall events of the past that set the story in motion.
4. On the final page, I incorporated all tones to elucidate various events within a single narrative.

The ultimate result of the narrative.

Thank you
